The Navajo Revitalization Fund Board has approved $152,580 in grants for projects on the Navajo Reservation.
The funding includes $105,000 to fund construction labor for housing developments in the seven Utah chapters, funds for housing projects in the Mexican Water and Aneth chapters and a handicap ramp and parking area for the Navajo Mountain Senior Center.
The fund provides grants for housing, community facilities and services. It is funded by state allocations from severance taxes collected from oil and gas companies operating on Navajo lands. In July, the Fund received new fiscal year 2007 money of just under $1.95 million.
