OREM Utah Valley State College's aviation program will host a barbecue for new, current and prospective flight students on Thursday. The back-to-school social event will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the UVSC hangar at the Provo Municipal Airport.
Students in the aviation program at UVSC are given hands-on training. A new flight simulation center located in the south UVSC hangar will soon be available for use as part of the program's training exercises.
Also at the barbecue, officials plan to announce the state of the UVSC planes that were destroyed in a recent storm. Call 863-7830 or 888-901-7192 for information.
