Lifetime Products on Monday presented 16,000 pounds of food to the Utah Food Bank 10 pounds for each of the Davis County company's 1,600 employees.
The food was collected as part of the food bank's Summer Business Food Drive and was the result of Lifetime's "Fill the Shed" event. Agencies and organizations that work with the Utah Food Bank picked up pallets from Lifetime's Freeport Center location.
Food donations tend to drop off dramatically during the summer months. The Summer Food Drive attempts to prevent such shortfalls by involving local businesses in donation efforts. For more information, go to www.utahfoodbank.org.
