Expectations hover at high elevation for Utah's Eric Weddle and BYU's John Beck. The Utah defensive back and BYU quarterback were both selected as preseason conference players of the year heading into the 2006 season. But that's not the only thing the two seniors have in common. Both have their eyes squarely fixed on the same destination — a Mountain West Conference championship.

For Weddle, the 2006 season is the final ascent in a career that has already reached some impressive heights (Whether offense, defense or special teams, Utah relies on Weddle). For Beck, the standard of greatness for BYU quarterbacks requires that he climb a little higher (John Beck's legacy).
