A tentative three-year labor contract for Utah Transit Authority employees represented by the Amalgamated Transit Union was presented to union members starting Sunday. A vote will take place Sept. 6.
ATU Local 382 and UTA started bargaining to replace a contract that expires Dec. 10. They began negotiations early to meet deadlines for the operation and maintenance of the
FrontRunner commuter rail line.
Local 382 represents UTA bus and TRAX operators and maintenance employees about 1,200 of UTA's 1,700 workers.
