Hispanic Bush rally bad idea

I was dismayed to read that Tony Yapias, chairman of the Utah Hispanic Democratic Caucus, is organizing a pro-Bush pro-immigrant rally to counter the anti-Bush, anti-war rally planned during the president's visit to Utah (Aug. 19). Is Mr. Yapias so blinded by his hunger for media attention that he's willing to alienate the leaders and members of Utah's other Democratic caucuses? If Yapias thinks Utah Republicans are going to flock to the pro-immigrant cause, he's a fool. He will only alienate Utah Democrats, his true allies. But, hey, he's sure to get his beloved press coverage.
