Republicans have shown they no longer have anything positive to run on. They simply plan to attack Democrats from now until November. Given the comments of Vice President Dick Cheney and Sen. Orrin Hatch, it's clear that their only remaining strategy is to play politics with national security in an attempt to scare voters away from Democrats.
During World War II, Franklin Roosevelt didn't tell the American people that voting for Republicans would embolden the Nazis. FDR brought Americans together by saying, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself." Now, Cheney and Hatch are telling us "Be afraid, unless you vote for my party."
