Alpine District bond, leeway put on ballot
Voters will be asked to approve $230 million in bond issuances for the district to build and renovate schools.
Property taxes will not increase, district officials have said, because they will add on new bonds as existing bonds are paid off.
Voters will also be asked to approve an increase in the voted leeway tax by an additional .0003 per dollar. The increase could generate more than $4 million that the district would use to operate the new schools.
The exact wording of the bond and leeway proposals are available on the district's Web site: www.alpinek12.ut.us.
