Kendra and Maliyah Herrin, four-year-old formerly conjoined twins who were separated a week ago, have been upgraded from critical to serious condition at Primary Children's Medical Center, says Laura Winder, spokeswoman for the hospital.

According to the family blog, www.herrintwins.com, they are awake more and starting to interact with their family. Doctors still have them on medication to control the pain from the surgery. They are the daughters of Jake and Erin Herrin, North Salt Lake.
