Expect travel delays in Utah County area

Utah County motorists can expect lane restrictions and travel delays for construction projects this week on U.S. 189 and I-15, the Utah Department of Transportation has announced.

Monday-Friday: Overnight work likely will cause delays on U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Tuesday: Paving operations on I-15 between the Pleasant Grove interchange and 800 North in Orem will restrict traffic to two lanes in each direction from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Wednesday: Northbound I-15 will be restricted to two lanes from the 1600 North interchange in Orem to the 500 East interchange in American Fork between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving operations.

Friday-Sunday: Bridge work in Provo will restrict motorists to two lanes in each direction from 920 South and 600 South between 10 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday. Lane restrictions will resume at 11 p.m. Saturday and continue until 9 p.m. Sunday.
