TAYLORSVILLE A 31-year-old man died Saturday night when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit his head on a tree.
Galen L. Anderson died instantly, around 10 p.m., after witnesses said he rode his bullet bike at a "high rate of speed" through a 25 mph residential area, Taylorsville Police Sgt. Rosie Rivera said.
Anderson was not wearing a helmet, Rivera said, when he was thrown from the bike. The motorcycle skidded 80 feet, she said.
The wreck occurred in a subdivision near 6500 South and 3000 West.
