RSL to break ground on stadium today

SANDY — After a week of discussions with city, county and state officials, David W. Checketts will announce Saturday the decision to move forward with the construction of a new stadium in Sandy, Utah. The groundbreaking ceremony will be held on the site of the new stadium, 9250 S. State Street, today at noon, and will feature elected leaders, team officials, and the entire rosters of both teams competing in Saturday night's XanGo Cup match between Real Salt Lake and Real Madrid.
