LINTHICUM, Md. (AP) — An Air Canada jet made an unscheduled landing at the Baltimore airport Thursday after an unclaimed package was reported on board.

The plane touched down on a remote runway around 4:10 p.m., airport spokesman Jonathan Dean said.

Dean said he was not aware of any disturbance aboard the flight from Montreal to Reagan National Airport in Washington. Passengers were taken by bus to Washington.

Authorities searched the aircraft out of "an abundance of caution," Dean said. The search and an X-ray of the package revealed nothing dangerous.
