Surgeons are scheduled to separate conjoined twins Maliyah and Kendra Herrin at Primary Children's Medical Center today beginning at 7 a.m. in a surgery that could stretch well into Tuesday.
The multidisciplinary medical team is led by Dr. Rebecka Meyers, chief of the division of pediatric surgery at PCMC and University Hospital. Team members include eight surgeons, two anesthesiologists, 14 operating room staff members, pharmacists and radiologists.
The Deseret Morning News will provide updates on the 4-year-old daughters of Jake and Erin Herrin, North Salt Lake, as information becomes available.
