FBI says Destiny object of fantasies
Gregerson allegedly admitted attraction to her and others
Accused child killer Craig Roger Gregerson fantasized about kidnapping and sexually assaulting Destiny Norton and other young girls.
That's what he allegedly told an FBI agent as he was being questioned about the 5-year-old's disappearance. Gregerson's statements were among several new details in search warrant returns filed Friday in 3rd District Court.
"Gregerson felt sexually attracted to D.N. (Destiny Norton) and fantasized about abducting her and engaging in sexual activity with her in his basement," Salt Lake City police detective Catherine Schoney wrote in the search warrant. "His fantasy included similar thoughts of other young girls. Gregerson also said he had written out an abduction plan for D.N., but later destroyed it."
Destiny's family worried about the possibility of other young victims.
"If he really took the time to logically plan this all out, who knows what other children he's done that with?" said Destiny's uncle, Peter Brooks.
Gregerson, 20, is accused of kidnapping Destiny from her back yard on July 16, smothering her then sexually assaulting the child's body before hiding it.
The little girl's disappearance launched a massive, eight-day volunteer search across the Salt Lake Valley. On July 24, her body was found two doors away in Gregerson's basement. Prosecutors have said Gregerson confessed to the crime.

Investigators revealed Friday that Destiny's body had been wrapped in several white plastic disposable bags taped together with clear packing tape. Police found the wrapped body in a covered plastic storage bin one of several plastic bins in the basement, police said.
"Gregerson attempted to mask the odor of the body with baking soda, soap and baby powder," Schoney wrote in the search warrant.
The state medical examiner said he had found paper towels and a detergent-like substance in the bin. The state crime lab also reported that it found holes in the bin that appeared to have been plugged with chewing gum.
On July 28, the day after Gregerson was charged by the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office, search warrants show, police went back to his small apartment and seized a number of items including plastic bags, tape, gum, a credit card, a zip disk, a planner, letters, a sex magazine and a journal.
Police and prosecutors have refused to comment on the search warrants.
Gregerson is charged with aggravated murder, a capital offense, and first-degree felony child kidnapping. Prosecutors have not decided if they will seek the death penalty against him. Gregerson is expected to appear in court for a scheduling hearing on Monday.
