Whitney Hardman took the Discovering Possibilities classes and became fast friends with the girls in her group. They still hang out together, she says. This year, Hardman, 15, was hired to be a peer youth worker, and she's back in the Discovering Possibilities classes as a junior facilitator.

In addition to youth mentors like Hardman, the Salt Lake County Youth Services workers would like to see adult women become mentors to girls in the program. They are especially looking for minority women who want to serve as role models.

Call Tami McPherson at 269-7507 if you're interested.
