The three teenagers, who were all riding in the backseat of a 2004 Ford Mustang, died when the car drifted or slid into an oncoming SUV about 10 p.m., according to a statement issued by the Springville Police Department.

The 58-year-old driver of the SUV and his 26-year-old son were also taken to a hospital for treatment, although their injuries were not life threatening.
