Costly storm

Provo Mayor Lewis Billings released a preliminary cost estimate of the damage caused by Tuesday's supercell thunder- storm. Here's a breakdown:

Private property — $5 million to $8 million

Provo airport private property — $1 million to $3 million

Provo airport public property — $1.75 million

City energy utility — $1.3 million

City parks and golf course — $1.2 million

City public works — $375,000
