Hill AFB program earns public-sector Shingo Prize

Hill Air Force Base is among nine government entities earning a 2006 Shingo Prize Public Sector Award.

There were no Platinum recipients. Hill's F-16 Common Configuration Implementation Program was among four Gold recipients. There were two Silver and four Bronze recipients.

The Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing is recognizes world-class organizations throughout the year with three types of prizes: the Business Prize, the Research Prize and the Public Sector Prize.

The Shingo program is administered by Utah State University's College of Business.
