ST. GEORGE SkyWest Airlines, a subsidiary of SkyWest Inc., said Monday it will have a fourth aircraft type added to its fleet of regional aircraft.
The airline will take delivery by year-end on six Bombardier-manufactured Canadair Regional Jet 900. With the new deliveries, SkyWest Airlines will operate all three variants of the jet. They will fly under the Delta Connection banner for Delta Air Lines.
"This aircraft will allow us to reach further into new markets, giving Delta the flexibility and competitive-cost aircraft they need in their Salt Lake hub," said Ron Reber, SkyWest Airlines president and chief operating officer, in a prepared statement.
The aircraft have 10 business-class seats and 60 economy seats.
Systemwide, SkyWest Inc. has about 9,400 employees and serves 132 cities in 36 states and three Canadian provinces with more than 1,600 daily departures.
