Dallin Donaldson of Boy Scout Troop 311 in Cottonwood Heights has earned all 121 Boy Scout merit badges including the brand new Composite Materials merit badge.
Among other accomplishments: He went to the National Jamboree in 2005 where he was the senior patrol leader of his provisional troop.
He acted as troop senior patrol leader for two years
He earned his Eagle in 2005. It was awarded in Arlington National Cemetery while on a Jamboree trip. He spoke at an interfaith religious meeting during National Jamboree 2005
Dallin was home-schooled for ninth and 10th grades. He is now completing four years of credit in two years so he can graduate with his class at Alta High School in June 2007. He then plans to serve an LDS mission.
His favorite merit badges: Wilderness Survival, Bird Study, Composite Materials
The most difficult merit badge: Bugling. Dallin had to learn to play the trumpet well enough to sound the 15 bugle calls necessary for completion of the requirements.
