Various items of clothing, baby supplies and other things were seized from the vehicle of a former person of interest in the case of missing Destiny Norton.
Fingerprints, strands of hair and fibers in the car were also among items removed from the blue passenger car belonging to Sevkija Ferhatovic, according to a search warrant affidavit filed in 3rd District Court Wednesday.
Ferhatovic was believed to be involved in the 5-year-old's disappearance until he was cleared July 17 after nearly two days of questioning.
Destiny's father, Ricky Norton, told police he had seen the vehicle parked down the road from his residence and thought it was strange, after talking to Ferhatovic, that the vehicle had children's toys and blankets inside, as stated in court documents.
The affidavit states police impounded the vehicle for a registration violation and later seized most of its contents as potential evidence in the then-missing-child case.
