"From what I remember, the police crawled every single inch of that area. There's even a suit to prove it that they threw away in my husband's garbage," she said.

When asked whether she noticed anything different about her husband's place, Catherine said "the house smelled like it normally does. . . . I've been in that house several times since she was missing, and I haven't smelled a single thing."

She said she had no reason to worry until Monday when Craig was with the FBI nearly all day. On her way to the Days of '47 parade, Catherine "checked" on Craig because she said he had been "seriously sick" for several days.

"He was still kind of groggy, still kind of out of it," she said about her last conversation with Craig. He mentioned to her he was going to take a polygraph test, and he still wasn't home when she returned to his place at 8:30 p.m. Monday, she said.

"I started getting worried," she said.

A short time later, she received a call from police seeking permission to remove some evidence. About 10 p.m., she said, she saw her husband's home was surrounded by police tape when she passed by on the way to the Liberty Park fireworks show. She said she was just as shocked as everyone else.

"My heart goes out to Destiny. I'm completely devastated that this is happening, and I had no part in it," Catherine said, saying she was with a friend from out of town when Destiny was reported missing.

"Oh, I love him. But if he admits to it, I'm not standing by him, he's on his own," she said. "I want to get to the bottom of this just as everybody else does."
