Pretty, patriotic young pioneer

Ali Duzett rides on the Salt Lake Wasatch LDS Stake float at the Days of '47 Youth Parade along 500 South in Salt Lake City Saturday morning. Billed as the largest youth parade in the United States, the parade featured marching bands, floats and nearly 5,000 children. The event was one of myriad activities planned for the Pioneer Day weekend. Communities across the state have organized festivities featuring everything from pancake breakfasts and golf tournaments to stage shows and fireworks.
