"Besides, it's easy work," Anderson said. "We can do the voice work in our underwear if we want to, which is nice."

Until then, the two do have other work lined up. O'Halloran, who still lives on the East Coast, said he's planning to become a producer, while Anderson is an aspiring filmmaker — his directorial debut is "Now You Know," a romantic comedy he shot three years ago, scheduled for release in December.

"He'll never admit it," O'Halloran said, "but he's really proud of that movie. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised by it — pleasantly surprised."

Anderson downplayed that compliment but did claim that he "discovered" Travis Fehrman, the actor who plays a scene-stealing "Lord of the Rings" fan in "Clerks II." "I was smart enough to put him in my movie, and now it's going to look like Kevin found him first, since his film is coming out first."
