Police ask for help in search for missing girl
Meanwhile, searches by volunteers continued in Millcreek Canyon and surrounding areas in hopes of turning up some clue that may help produce a resolution in the case.
Destiny, 5, was last seen outside her house near 700 South and 500 East at 8:30 p.m. Her parents told police when they went to check on her 10 minutes later, she was gone.
Salt Lake Police Detective Robin Snyder said police officials continue to treat the case as a "missing child" and that authorities have no evidence to indicate Destiny was abducted.
Although police suspended an exhaustive two-day search Monday, detectives continue to gather items from the home and question the adult occupants who live there, including Destiny's parents, Rick and Rachael Norton.
Police said Tuesday her parents are not under suspicion, but no one has been completely cleared in the investigation. The FBI and other agencies are assisting.
A $15,000 reward has been offered leading to Destiny's return. Call 799-INFO (4636)
