From Deseret News archives:
3 Utah cities among 'Best Places to Live'
The list, released Monday, ranks Sandy number 23, Orem number 38 and Layton number 41. Factors taken into account in forming the list include education, weather, health, leisure and culture, as well as the quality of life in the cities. The magazine considers air quality, crime rates, and commute times in determining a city's quality of life.
All three Utah cities had a higher percentage of married people and a lower median age than the average for all the cities in the magazine's list.
The magazine said Provo had the second-youngest median age among the cities that were evaluated.
