MOUNT TIMPANOGOS Utah County deputies rescued a woman from 10,200 feet in elevation after she fell down a glacier and into some rocks Saturday afternoon.
According to a statement released by the sheriff's office, witnesses said the Salt Lake County woman, 53, fell 200 feet. The Timpanogos Emergency Response Team (TERT) responded.
Witnesses said the woman "slid down the glacier into some rocks" on Mount Timpanogos, Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Tom Hodgson said.
The woman was airlifted to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. Police did not release her name or condition.
