Road work planned across Utah County

Utah Department of Transportation officials say motorists should expect travel delays in Utah County this weekend and next week due to highway closures and lane restrictions for construction work.

Today-Monday: Paving operations will restrict traffic on northbound I-15 in Orem to two lanes from University Parkway to 800 North between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Sunday-Monday: Southbound I-15 will be restricted to one lane from 500 East in American Fork to 800 North in Orem between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. for resurfacing.

Sunday-Wednesday: U-92 from the mouth of American Fork Canyon to Cascade Springs will be restricted to one lane at various locations between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for paving operations.

Sunday-Thursday: U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon will be closed near Deer Creek Dam between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. for excavation work. Motorists will need to use I-15 and I-80 as the detour route.

Monday: The narrow section of U-92 from Cascade Springs to Tibble Fork (U-144) will be closed between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. for paving.

Tuesday-Thursday: Northbound I-15 will be restricted to two lanes from 500 East in American Fork to 1200 West in Lehi between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for paving operations.

Tuesday-Thursday: Bridge repair in Spanish Fork will restrict northbound traffic on I-15 to one lane from the Main Street interchange (exit 257) to approximately 2 miles northward. Restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day.

Thursday: U-92 from Aspen Grove to the junction of U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon will be restricted to one lane between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for paving operations.

Friday: U-73 from the Utah County line to Fairfield will be restricted to one lane between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. for paving operations. Pilot cars and flaggers will direct motorists though the construction area.
