Utah Valley

WRESTLING: KC Rock, a native of Morgan, Utah, has been hired as assistant coach on the Utah Valley State wrestling staff, head coach Greg Williams announced Friday. Rock returns to Utah after four seasons as an assistant on the University of Wyoming's wrestling staff, two years as an assistant at Boise State and a career on the mat at Ricks College and Boise State.

Weber State

TRACK & FIELD: Weber State's men's and women's track and field teams have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Teams.

In addition, six Wildcats have earned individual All-Academic honors. WSU had a cumulative team GPA of 3.16 and was one of three Utah schools honored by the coaches.

Individually, four Wildcat men were named to the All-Academic Teams. Jed Casper, Bret Ferrier, Seth Pilkington and Chris Sonognini were all named to the team after posting a GPA of 3.25 or higher and competing at the NCAA Regionals. Two Weber State women were named to the All-Academic Teams — Lindsey Anderson, a sophomore from Morgan and Katie Bowen, a freshman from Alpine. Both athletes had GPAs above 3.40.
