SPANISH FORK The money Nebo School District will receive for selling its half of the former Oakridge School to Provo School District will be used for building needs, said Nebo Superintendent Chris Sorensen.
Under the sale agreement, Nebo will receive $1.26 million over the next three years.
Provo School District owns the other half of the east Provo building. The two districts ran a special education program at the facility for about 30 years.
The Nebo district vacated the building two years ago and built a new Oakridge School in Springville.
The district has wanted to sell its half of the building since then.
Money from the former Oakridge School will go into the capital budget.
The Nebo district needs to replace the Landmark High School building, and purchase property for future schools, Sorensen said.
