American Le Mans Series at a glance

Length: 2 hours, 45 minutes

Track: 4.5 miles long, 24-turn road course

Cars: LMP1 — Premier high-tech Le Mans Prototypes. Cars such as Audi R10, Lola B06/10 and Zytek 04S.

LMP2 — Smaller, less-powered prototypes. Cars such as Courage C65, Lola B05/40 and Porsche RS Spyder.

GT1 — Highly modified, production-based, two-wheel driver Grand Touring cars. Cars such as Aston Martin BDR0, Chevrolet Corvette C6-R, Ferrari 550, Maserati MC12 and Saleen S7R.

GT2 — Moderately modified, production-based, two-wheel driver cars. Cars such as BMW M3, Derrari 430, Panzo Esperante GTLM and Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

Friday

12:15 — 2 p.m. Qualifying

4:10 — 6 p.m. Qualifying

Saturday

8 a.m. Public gates open

9:30 a.m. Corvette Corral Parade Laps (100 cars maximum)

10:10 a.m. Porsche Platz Parade Laps (100 cars maximum)

11:45 a.m. SPEED World Challenge Race No. 1

1 p.m.IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge

1:45 p.m. Driver autograph session

2:45 p.m. Mazda Race Series

3:45 p.m. SPEED World Challenge Race No. 2

6 p.m. American Le Mans Series Race

Directions

Take I-80 West from Salt Lake City to Exit 99 (Highway 36 to Tooele). Head south and turn right on Highway 138. Head west 5 miles to Sheep Lane and turn left.
