Freedom Festival events scheduled

List of Fourth of July holiday events of America's Freedom Festival at Provo:

Freedom Awards Gala — June 30, 6:30 p.m., BYU Wilkinson Center Ballroom. Cost is $40.

Children's Parade — July 1, 10:30 a.m. Begins at 800 E. Center and goes to 200 E. Center, Provo. Free.

Stadium of Fire — July 1, 7:30 p.m., LaVell Edwards Stadium. Cost ranges from $20 to $100.

Balloon Fest — July 1, 3 and 4, 6:30 a.m. Balloons will take off from Fox Field, 1100 N. Freedom Blvd. Free.

Freedom Days — July 1, 3 and 4, Utah County Government complex, Center Street and University Avenue. Free.

Men's softball — July 1, 3 and 4, Footprinter's Softball Complex, 1150 S. 1350 West. Cost is $225 for registered teams and $250 for nonregistered teams.

Patriotic Service — July 2, 7 p.m., McKay Events Center. Speaker: Stephen R. Covey. Free.

Freedom of the Press — July 3, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and July 4, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tours of Crandall Historical Printing Museum, 275 E. Center. Free.

Freedom Run — July 4. Run starts at 9 a.m., Kiwanis Park, 820 N. 1100 East. Register online at www.freedomfestival.org. Registration fees are $25 for 10K and 5K runs until July 3 and $30 the morning of the race. For the one-mile Fun Run, the registration fee is $15 until July 3 and $20 the morning of the race.

Grand Parade — July 4, 9 a.m. The parade will run from 960 N. University Ave. to 900 E. Center. Free

Tour of Utah: Peloton Tour of Utah — July 4, Aug. 7-12 in six stages in Salt Lake and Utah counties. Registration is $44, and those wishing to participate are also asked to raise at least $100 for one of three charities, including Freedom Foundation.
