AMERICAN FORK Alpine School District has been given the "What Parents Want" national award from a private service that matches schools to families who are transferring for work opportunities.
This award reflects outstanding performance in areas that are important to parents as they look for placement of their children in schools. SchoolMatch has recognized only 2,504 or 16 percent of the nation's 15,573 public school districts for meeting the needs of families.
The consulting firm based in Columbus, Ohio, announced its 15th annual award in a recent letter to state school leadership associations and state department of education superintendents.
SchoolMatch also has conducted more than 1,000 educational effectiveness audits of school systems throughout the country and assists corporations with site selection studies. The service maintains information on every public school system throughout the nation. It is offered as an employee benefit by about 500 companies.
