The Governor's Office of Economic Development will present a program Friday highlighting employment options for people in Utah's life sciences industry.
It will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at 324 S. State, second floor.
The program is designed to assist people affected by the recent NPS Pharmaceuticals layoffs or others interested in the life sciences industry.
The event will include discussion of everything from resume writing to networking within the industry. Presenters will be from the University of Utah, Alumni Career Services, the Utah Department of Workforce Services and GOED's talent access programs.
The event is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. RSVPs can be completed by e-mailing snuzzi@utah.gov or calling 801-538-8622.
