After reading your stories on John Jacob's actions, one can only admire the man for having shown charity and concern toward the Chilean couple he helped. To try to portray those actions as unlawful and hypocritical is despicable.
Not surprisingly, you have omitted the fact that Chris Cannon himself acknowledged the possible use of illegal labor when he contracted a roofer who, in Cannon's own words: "uses labor that I suspect is not here legally" in an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune. And of course, you also weren't aware of Tony Yapias' call on KCPW (88.3 FM) for "undocumented immigrants formerly employed by Jacob to come forward."
If given the choice, I'd rather go with a man that generously gave of his own money to better a family's life than choose a man who lacks integrity and exploits the needs of others.
