I agree with Brigham Young University's position to not rehire Jeffrey Nielsen. As a parent, I want people teaching at BYU who support the LDS Church's stance. I can understand his desire not to follow leaders blindly, but all of us follow someone. Out of many choices available, I have chosen to follow the prophets of the LDS Church.
Those of us who send students to BYU want and expect the school to uphold the church's leaders and their ideals.
