Lectures, activities, films set
Saturday, 2-4 p.m.: Families can tour the exhibit and then design fabric using leaves, flowers, photo-sensitive cloth and the sun; free with admission.
June 24, 2 p.m.: Film, "Woman's Work: Making Quilts, Creating Art."
June 28, 1 p.m.: Lecture by Judith Trager titled "Art Quilts."
July 13, 1 p.m.: Lecture by Carol Nielson titled "The Salt Lake City 14th Ward Album Quilt, 1857."
Aug. 5, 2 p.m.: Film, "A Century of Quilts: America in Cloth."
Aug. 12, 2 p.m.: Lecture by J. Bruce Wilcox titled "20 Years and Counting: The Fiber Art of J. Bruce Wilcox."
All lectures and films are free.
Other upcoming quilting events:
An Amish Quilt and Craft Sale will be held today from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Fairground Tennis Building, 475 S. Main. The sale will feature more than 250 quilts of all sizes and more than 500 smaller wall hangings, as well as pillows, dolls, artwork, toys, furniture, rugs, books and more from the Amish and other craftspeople of Lancaster County, Penn.

"Reflections of a Quilter," an exhibit featuring the all handmade quilts of Marva Dalebout, runs through July 1 at Dixie State College Fine Arts Center, 225 S. 700 East, St. George. The gallery is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Mondays-Fridays and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission is free. The exhibit also features accompanying watercolors by Dalebout.
Judith Trager will give an art talk at the Kimball Art Center on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. in connection with the display "Art Quilts From the Front Range Contemporary Quilters," which is at the Park City Museum through July 23.
