Utah residents who wish to attend the Army, Air Force, Navy or Merchant Marine academies in July 2007 can now submit online applications to Sen. Bob Bennett's office.
Those interested in applying must be legal Utah residents between the ages of 17 and 23 who are unmarried with no children or other legal dependents.
Selection criteria will include SAT/ACT scores, class rank, GPA, teacher and counselor evaluations, extracurricular and athletic activities and leadership potential, Bennett, R-Utah, said.
The deadline for applications is Oct. 16. Interviews will be held in Salt Lake City later this year, and Bennett will submit his nominations in January.
Application information is available at bennett.senate.gov, or from his office, 4225 Federal Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84138, 524-5933.
