Becky Lunceford's career as an entrepreneur started because she wanted to teach her nine children the value of hard work.
Casting about for some way to do that, Lunceford found her opportunity when she discovered that many bath and body products made by major manufacturers contain such unnecessary and possibly harmful ingredients as alcohol and mineral oil.
So Lunceford designed her own line of premium skin-care products, eventually adding high-end candles to form the current makeup of For Every Body, Lunceford's Provo-based company.
With a background in chemistry and a focus on providing high-quality, trendy products that will sell faster than the competition's, Lunceford has led For Every Body to become a nationwide chain that employs about 150 people, with plans to expand internationally this year.
Candles now make up the bulk of For Every Body's business, and Lunceford has put her stamp on them. Each candle uses clean-burning, highly scented wax with oil evenly distributed throughout, as well as non-lead wicks and lengthy burn times.
Each candle also has a decorative topping, one of For Every Body's signature features and a further way to set its products apart from the competition.
