Real Salt Lake's Jeff Cunningham crosses in front of the goal trying to get a shot off as Chicago's C.J. Brown defends.

Even though the franchise is in its infancy, Real Salt Lake knows about milestones.
Last year Jason Kreis scored his 100th career goal, and Saturday night RSL keeper Scott Garlick recorded his 100th career victory.
"I'm just so proud to play with guys like this, they just fought to the very end," said Garlick.
Even though the 3-1 scoreline might lead someone to believe that Garlick had an easy night, he most certainly did not. In fact, he probably saved the game with a breakaway save in the 68th minute on a shot by Andy Herron.
"At 1-1, Scott came up with that save," said RSL coach John Ellinger. "For me, that's a game changer. For him to get the win and get the 100th, for him that has to be pretty special. We gave him the game ball."
Garlick finished the game with two saves, giving 37 on the season.
For Garlick, who turned 34 earlier this week, he only trails Los Angeles' Kevin Hartman (107) and Chicago's Zach Thornton (105) for the all-time MLS record for victories.
Garlick's all-time record stands at 100-86-27.
NECESSARY ADJUSTMENT: Even though the score was tied 0-0 at halftime Saturday, RSL clearly needed to make some kind of adjustment.
Playing a 3-5-2 formation as opposed to RSL's 4-4-2 formation, Chicago had the luxury of an extra body in the midfield and it capitalized by controlling the run of play throughout the first half.
At halftime, Ellinger instructed wide midfielders Chris Klein and Mehdi Ballouchy to pinch more into the middle of the field to help out Kenny Cutler and Carey Talley.
"It definitely solved the problem for us," said Ellinger.
STILL NUMERO UNO: RSL's dubious league record of 557 consecutive scoreless minutes nearly fell Saturday night, but the Los Angeles Galaxy didn't quite hold up their end of the bargain.
Entering Saturday's match at Houston, the Galaxy were in the midst of 480 scoreless minutes, a stretch dating back to its 3-2 victory at Real Salt Lake on April 29. If they went 78 minutes without a goal, RSL would've been bumped from the dreaded plateau.
Instead, John Wolyniec scored in first half stoppage time, leaving the Galaxy 32 minutes shy of breaking Real's record.
NARROWING THE GAP: D.C. United's Jaime Moreno inched a little closer to Jason Kreis in the battle for the league's top goal scorers.
Moreno scored his 101st career goal in a 1-0 victory over New England on Saturday, closing to within two of Jason Kreis' all-time leading 103 career goals.
Moreno scored his 100th career goal on a penalty kick in Wednesday's 5-1 victory over Columbus.
