MURRAY DNA LifePrint Child Safety Program will host an event today offering families a tool to help protect their children against violence.
Parents increase their chance of quickly recovering a missing child if they provide current statistical information to law-enforcement officers. Families can collect that information in a free DNA LifePrint Kit that includes: A Child Safety Journal, which provides officials with necessary information about a child.
A high-quality full-color digital photo of a child.
A video CD (with audio and visual) of a child.
A home DNA identification kit that is easy to use.
The DNA LifePrint Kit is endorsed by John Walsh, host of "America's Most Wanted." Interested families can attend the event today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at LaPoint Ford on 5500 S. State. See www.dna-lifeprint.com for more information. A LaPoint Ford representative said the car dealership is underwriting the cost of the kits, which DNA LifePrint usually sells for $14.95 apiece, so they are available free at the event.
