Question: There's an actor who appeared in several Bible movies who looks just like Sandra Bullock. Are they related?

Answer: Aren't we all related, when you come down to it? Regardless of our skin color, nationality or ethnic origin, aren't we all members of the human family, even though Sandra Bullock's father, John, wasn't an actor and has never, ever appeared in a Bible movie, unlike the actor who you think looks like Bullock, even though you don't have any idea what his name is? They aren't related, in other words.

Question: I am looking for a movie from the mid-1950s set in Japan. It stars Robert Ryan. Can you tell me the title and if it's available?

Answer: The movie is 1955's "House of Bamboo," which also stars Robert Stack and Shirley Yamaguchi. It's on DVD.

Question: Who were the gospel artists performing the music on the April 25 episode of "House"?

Answer: That was Ladysmith Black Mambazo performing "Oh, Happy Day," from the CD "Ultimate Collection."

Question: I saw a movie in the theater around 1990 that was about a group of gay men friends and how they were affected by the AIDS epidemic before people really knew what it was. For the life of me, I cannot remember the title of the film. Could you help me out with that and tell me if it is available on video?

Answer: Sounds a lot like 1990's " Longtime Companion," which stars Campbell Scott, Patrick Cassidy and Mary-Louise Parker. It's on DVD.

Question: My husband and I recall a very funny movie with Albert Brooks from some years ago. He had a female co-star, but I'm not sure who it was. They died and went to heaven, and heaven was a place full of restaurants where you could eat all you wanted and never gain weight. We would rent or buy this movie if it were available.

Answer: That's the 1991 film "Defending Your Life," which also stars Meryl Streep. It's on video and DVD.

Question: I know the movie "Love Affair" was remade twice - once as "An Affair to Remember" with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr and then later as "Love Affair" with Warren Beatty and Annette Bening. I would like to know who played the leads in the first movie and if it's on video.
