I think it is interesting that Ernest Michel, a Jewish Holocaust survivor, is offended by the LDS practice of posthumous baptisms (May 27). How can he be offended by a practice in which he doesn't believe? If another church were baptizing my deceased ancestors, I'd tell them to go ahead and baptize them all. I certainly wouldn't be so arrogant as to ask that church to change its worship practices. The Holocaust was horrific, and I am sorry that Mr. Michel had to suffer because others did not respect his ethnicity and religion. He was persecuted for his beliefs, and now he has decided to persecute others for theirs.
