As part of Hogle Zoo's 75th anniversary celebration, the zoo is gathering photos for a "75 Years of Memories" photo contest that runs today through June 26.

People are invited to submit their favorite photos taken at Hogle Zoo during the past 75 years. The contest is open to anyone who has visited the zoo since 1931.

The entry fee for the contest is $7.50 for up to three photos, no larger than 8 by 10 inches. The entry fee will go toward future zoo projects. Photos can be of animals, exhibits, zoo features or human visitors.

Photos will be judged on their general interest and technical quality. Originality and artistic expression will also be considered. A panel of zoo employees will judge entries. Ten winning photographs will be displayed during Hogle Zoo's Historical Retrospective, July 10 through August 6. The top three winners will receive zoo memberships, along with prize packages valued up to $200. The grand-prize photo will grace the cover of the fall issue of the Safari member newsletter, sent to over 16,000 households.

Entry forms and rules are online at: www.hoglezoo.org/75th or at Hogle Zoo's Guest Services offices. For more information, visit the Web site or call 582-1631, ext. 657.
