The Governor's Office of Economic Development Board approved three financial incentives on Friday, including:

• Up to $45,000 for DBT America for 12 to 15 new jobs at $3,000 per job paying at least 125 percent of the Emery County median. The money will come from the Industrial Assistance Fund. The company has about 100 employees now in Emery County manufacturing and repairing mining equipment. The new jobs represent a capital investment of about $4 million, and the state is expected to receive new revenue of $613,000 over the next 10 years. The incentive will be provided a year after the jobs are created, and the jobs must be maintained for at least five years. The company must commit to keep operations in Utah at least 10 years.

• Up to $152,000 in a film incentive for "Topaz AKA The American Pastime." The independent production will depict how baseball helped Japanese-Americans in Utah internment camps during World War II.

The incentive represents up to 8 percent of dollars left in the state because of the production and equaling at least 8 percent of the total project budget. About half of the project's overall budget is expected to be spent while in production in Utah.

• Up to $200,000 in a film incentive for Sony Pictures' "Weiners." The film involves people driving a hot dog vehicle across the country.

The company is expecting to spend 45 percent of its $5.8 million budget in Utah. The incentive represents up to 8 percent of dollars left in the state and equaling at least 8 percent of the $2.5 million projected to be spent in Utah.
