After reading Jeff Gottesfeld's "My View" (May 16) about the book "Burned," I decided to check out author Ellen Hopkins' Web site. On it, Hopkins appears to be quoting someone from inside the LDS Church, saying that the church "considers women inferior," with the word inferior in quotation marks. Naturally, she doesn't say who the quote is from.
No doubt, Hopkins and her book will be showered with praise by feminists, as well as by those who view any conservative, Christian church as sinister and evil. This should prove once again who the real bigots in our society are.
