The Utah State Fair has announced part of September's annual Grandstand lineup, which continues to bring top entertainers, including some free shows with paid gate admission.
Kenny Rogers and the Oak Ridge Boys, Kansas, Miranda Lambert and Disney's Raven highlight this year's entertainment.
The fair runs Sept. 7-17, 2006.
On Thursday, Sept. 7, the Miss Utah State Fair Scholarship Program is included with gate admission. Opening-day gate admission is $2 per person. Gates open at 3 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m. on the Grandstand Stage. County representatives from all over Utah compete for the title of Miss Utah State Fair.
(Utah's PRCA Rodeo is also included with gate admission on Sept. 7, 8, 9 and 10. The rodeo begins at 7 p.m. in the arena.)
Disney recording artist Raven will perform Friday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m. with Lili J, known for his role as Devon on "That's So Raven." Raven Symone originally appeared as Olivia on "The Cosby Show." She was in "Dr. Dolittle" and has a recurring role on the animated show "Kim Possible."
Christian rock band Kutless and special guest Diciple will perform Saturday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Classic rock favorite Kansas will appear Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Raven, Kutless and Kansas concerts are free with gate admission. Reserved seating tickets will be distributed at the Grandstand ticket office starting at noon on the day of the shows.
Kenny Rogers and The Oak Ridge Boys return to Utah on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $28 advance, include fair gate admission the day of the show. Tickets are on sale at Smith'sTix beginning Saturday, May 20, 10 a.m.
On Thursday, Sept. 14, Smashmouth performs at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $24 in advance and include fair gate admission the day of the show. Tickets will go on sale at Smith'sTix Saturday, May 27, 10 a.m.
Miranda Lambert with special guest Jason Aldean will perform Friday, Sept. 15, 7:30 p.m. Tickets, $19 advance, include fair gate admission the day of the show. Tickets go on sale at Smith'sTix beginning on Saturday, June 3, 10 a.m.
