Climbers mar landscape

Although Dean Potter's climb of Delicate Arch was impressive, the ugly hand-chalk spots climbers leave up and down climbing routes are reason enough not only to keep climbers off named features, but out of national parks and monuments.

Where are the environmentalists and their restrictive lawsuits when you need them?
