PROVO Meridian School's 11th-grade math team won first place April 27 at the 2006 Utah State Math Contest at the University of Utah.
The five-member team took tests earlier in the year and placed among the top three schools.

The 8th-grade team won third place; 12th-graders earned fourth; seventh graders placed fifth, the 10th graders were eighth in the state.
